TCMS volleyball game recap

PRUNTYTOWN – The Taylor County Middle School volleyball team finished their 2018 season last week. Here are their results for their final games of the season.
10/8/2018 - The girls were on the road in Elkins. The Hornets won in the contest 2 to 1. Natalea Mumaw had three blocks, Caroline Wellman had three aces and Daisy Charlton had one ace.
In JV action the Knights lost both sets to Elkins. Andie Toothman, Destiny Weaver and Autumn Ware all had one ace while Sierra Persinger and Toothman had one kill.
10/11/2018 - The varsity returned home to host Buckhannon. The Lady Bucks won the contest 25-19 and 25-17. Brylen Purkey had two aces and one kill while Mumaw added two blocks and several assists.
The Knight JV team also fell to the Bucs. Persinger and Gracie Keener had one kill apiece.
10/15/2018 – Both teams lost to Philippi. The varsity lost 25-16 and 25-11 and the JV’s lost 25-21 and 25-18.
10/16/2018 – The girls were home on this night as it was senior night and also Pinkout Night. The Knights defeated Central Preston in both varsity and jv action.
10/18/2018 – On this night the varsity girls played a double header with Preston County schools. In the first game the Knights defeated West Preston 25-6 and 25-9 and in the second game of the night the Knights defeated South Preston 25-6 and 25-7. Hannah Hobbs had one kill and two assists and Wellman had four aces and one assist. The remaining aces, digs and assists were credited to Persinger (1 aces and 2 assists), Emily Poling (2 aces), Jade Hall (5 assists), Mumaw (1 dig and 4 assists), Daisy Charlton (2 assists), Kendra Campbell (1 assist), Keener (2 assists) and Purkey (2 assists).
The Lady Knights finished their season in Belington as they participated in the Belington Bumpfest. The Knights were eliminated in the preliminary round with a record of 2 and 6. The girls played against teams from Belington, Ritchie, Wildwood and Bruceton Mills.
