Annual Christmas Parade to hit the streets this evening
GRAFTON—Following the enchantment of the illumination of tens of thousands of lights and the community Christmas tree during the city’s annual Light Up Night last night, the magic of the Christmas season will continue on tonight, as the community welcomes Santa and Mrs. Claus to Grafton, during the annual Christmas Parade.
Lineup for the parade will begin at 5:45 p.m. near Grafton High School, and the Grafton Police Department will begin closing the route, from the school down Yates, across the bridge on Beech Street, and then onto Main Street, shortly before the parade’s start at 6:30 p.m.
The Grafton Police Department would like to remind residents and guests to the community that there will be no parking on Main Street from the Latrobe Street intersection down to the intersection of Main and St. John’s Streets (the hill beside the Grafton Fire Department) during the annual Christmas Parade.
All vehicles will need to be removed from the area by 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 3.
The route and parking spots will be opened back up for use following the parade, but individuals are encouraged to use caution when traveling through downtown Grafton that evening due to the increased pedestrian traffic.
So, grab your pals and head down to take in another holiday tradition in downtown Grafton.
